David Choy Buentello is a PhD student at Technologico de Monterrey’s DBT
Bioengineering program. David completed his bachelor’s Degree at Sacred Heart
University, Majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry and Mathematics. His
research project involved measuring axonal growth of different transfected
neuronal cultures. His Master’s was completed at the University of Hartford. Thesis
work was completed at the University of Connecticut, where David created neuro-
anatomical maps of the inferior colliculus. David also completed a year of graduate
studies at the Pennsylvania State University using MRI technologies to study
neurodegenerative diseases, specifically Parkinson’s. David has joined our lab
hoping to use previous skills and integrating them to 3D printing and matrix
culturing.
