Ariel received her Bachelor Degree as Biotechnology Engineer specialized in Molecular Biology from Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Puebla in 2021. During her bachelor, she worked as a lab assistant (Campus Intern) implementing the 5 S methodology and the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) in biotech and chemistry laboratories. Additionally, she did professional internships in the genetic area of a clinical laboratory and in a Mexican company focused on pharmaceutical and medical devices. She started her PhD degree in Biotechnology at Tecnológico de Monterrey (2022) studying the interplay between the human gut microbiota and colorectal tumors.
